For the first time, there is a hotline in the US that is staffed entirely by transgender people, to serve transgender people. Everyone in the trans community needs to be spreading this around. Lives could be saved.

So every so often I chose to read for pleasure and a while back I chose to read Ancillary Justice, Ann Leckie’s 2014 Hugo (and Nebula!) award winning book. It was awesome. After Ian M. Banks passed away I really needed something to fill my “anarchist utopia gone broke with AI’s that are bad asses” genre hole and Ann Leckie has filled it right up and added POC’s and everyone being referred to as “her” because the Radchai don’t particularity notice gender. I’ve started to read it’s follow up, Ancillary Sword, and it’s just as good. I recommend it, John Scalzi recommends it. If you like sci-fi go find em.
After threats against her life, Anita Sarkeesian canceled an upcoming talk at Utah State University. Gamergate trolls are celebrating on Twitter while simultaneously dismissing the threats as nothing. Does this read like nothing to you?
